The Iraq Mine and UXO Clearance Organisation (IMCO) is a neutral and impartial NGO that clears landmines, other explosive remnants of war for the benefit of communities and people in Iraq. For more than 10 years IMCO has removed millions of explosive remnants of conflict to make land safe for people in Iraq to return to safe and productive lives.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and inspirational individual to join IMCO as Chief Operating Officer. Working to the Director you will be part of the senior management team shaping the next stage of IMCO’s development. The position has s focus on strategic, tactical, and medium-long term management in IMCO, overseeing the development, design, operation, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver IMCO’s operations and business development. Support IMCO senior management team to perform effectively and efficiently is an important part of the role.

Purpose of the position

A focus on strategic, tactical, and medium-long term management in IMCO, overseeing the development, design, operation, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver IMCO’s operations and business development. Support IMCO senior management team to perform effectively and efficiently.

Supports the development of IMCO’s management, systems, policies and procedures required to accomplish grant and contract objectives. To provide leadership, guidance and expertise to IMCO and support for the Director and Senior Management Team in the strategic and tactical management of IMCO’s operations and activities

To support the IMCO Senior Management Team in maintaining high standards in contract and service delivery and reporting, to ensure future growth.
